I'm traveling from Johannesburg to San Francisco. It's pretty much half way round the world: the shortest journey (both in time and distance) would be go westwards, via a direct flight to the US. But I'm a fan of the slower, more indirect routes, so I'm taking 6 weeks to go via an initial trip into East Africa, cross the Australian continent by train and island hop across New Zealand to the US West Coast. This blog documents the trip!

St Huberts Vineyard
The Yarra Valley Wine Region is just outside of Melbourne, and even more just outside of Hearstbridge where Wendy and Ray stay. We drank a bottle of sparkling wine at St. Hubert's vineyard on the way back home.
